Research Based Pedagogy

In a study conducted by Tel Aviv University and the University of Illinois at Chicago on 1,153 students, it was found that Singit received positive feedback from the participants. A significant 81% of students reported enjoying the program, with 53% rating their experience as "okay" or better. Students appreciated the unique and engaging learning methods, such as the use of songs and phone-based activities. Some students noted that they learned the language better thanks to Singit, describing the learning experience as fun and interesting. Additionally, findings indicated that Singit students demonstrated relative improvements in social awareness and grades compared to the control group, despite an overall decline in all measured areas throughout the year.

Case Studies from Around the World

Ramat Zvulun High School

Ramat Zvulun High School, located in the heart of Israel, is known for its commitment to academic excellence and innovative teaching methods. Despite its strong reputation, the school faced challenges in improving English proficiency among its students.

Challenge

The need for a more engaging and effective approach to teaching English.

Solution

Ramat Zvulun High School implemented the Singit program at the beginning of the academic year. The integration of Singit into the school's English curriculum was carefully planned. Singit collaborated with CET, the leading Ed-Tech publisher in Israel (part of the Ministry of Education), to align Singit's Song-Lessons with the national curriculum. Teachers received training on how to effectively use the Singit platform, ensuring they were well-prepared to incorporate music-based lessons into their teaching.

Impact

Increased Student Engagement

Students showed a marked increase in enthusiasm for English classes. The use of popular music made lessons more relatable and enjoyable, capturing even the most reluctant learners.

Improved Academic Performance

Standardized test scores revealed that students using Singit outperformed their peers by an average of 15% in English language assessments. Additionally, 44% of students reported that they were able to learn English better thanks to Singit.

Positive Teacher Feedback

Teachers found Singit to be a valuable tool in reducing lesson preparation time, allowing them to focus more on interactive and personalized teaching methods. The platform's alignment with the national curriculum ensured that all traditional learning objectives and curriculum requirements were met.

Enhanced Language Skills

Teachers reported noticeable improvements in students' listening and comprehension skills, attributed to frequent exposure to spoken English through songs. Students became more confident in speaking English, often singing along and discussing lyrics.
